‘He will forever be 22’ Lubbock family still searching for 2nd driver in 2024 crash

LUBBOCK, Texas — On Saturday, February 28, it will be 17 months since 22-year-old Joshua Bustos Jr. was killed on his way home after coming from the pool hall. A little after midnight, he was traveling westbound on Spur 327 when police believe Joshua Jr lost control of his motorcycle and was on the ground when he was then struck by two vehicles.

Joshua Jr’s birthday is on March 19, while his little sister’s is this Saturday. She will turn 23 while he will forever be 22.

“With them for a couple of weeks, the same age, they’re considered Irish twins. So, they’re the same age for that short amount of time. And only one of my kids gets to move forward from the age of 22. And one will forever be 22,” Shirald Bustos, the mom of Joshua Jr., said.
