Milwaukee Teen Shot While Fleeing Botched Robbery Near 20th And Stark

A 16-year-old was shot and wounded Tuesday evening in what police say was an attempted robbery gone wrong near 20th Street and Stark Street on Milwaukee’s north side. Investigators report that suspects approached the teen while they were walking, the victim tried to run, and was then hit by gunfire. The teen was taken to a hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Police: Gunfire Erupts Around 5:13 p.m.

According to FOX6, the Milwaukee Police Department says the shooting happened at about 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Detectives told the station they believe the suspects approached the teen intending to rob them before shots were fired. No arrests have been reported, and investigators are still working the case.
