A Newberg youth’s reward for naming the city’s new street sweeper was a thrilling ride to the school in the behemoth vehicle.
Kate Williamson, 10, earned the treat after she suggested the name “Sir Sweeps-a-Lot” and won out over nearly 100 submissions received by the contest deadline in late November.
