Swimmer hospitalized after rescued from waters of Halona Blowhole

HAWAII KAI, Hawaii (Island News) — A 28-year-old man is recovering after he was rescued while swimming at Halona Blowhole in Hawaii Kai on Wednesday afternoon.

The swimmer rescue took place after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Halona Blowhole, also known as Eternity Beach. The Honolulu Fire Department was alerted about the incident at 8201 Kalanianaole Hwy. where a 28-year-old man was struggling to stay afloat and swallowed water.

The swimmer was rescued from the ocean and Honolulu Medical Services administered advanced life support. He was taken to the hospital by an ambulance in serious condition…
