University of Michigan students twirl together ballet, literacy lessons to kids

ANN ARBOR, MI — For 90 minutes each week, these University of Michigan students devote their time to teaching small kids about ballet and literacy.

The UM chapter of Ballet & Books teaches children between 3 and 5 about reading and dancing. Many of the kids are in an activity away from home for the first time.
