Cristian Medrano-Umanzor, 34, was arrested January 24 in Strasburg by ICE Homeland Security Investigations agents in Harrisonburg working alongside Strasburg Police, according to federal officials.
ICE says Medrano-Umanzor is an alleged member of the MS-13 criminal organization and has a criminal record that includes drug convictions, resisting arrest, and a prior federal conviction for illegally reentering the country after deportation.
“The streets will be safer now that Cristian Medrano-Umanzor has been arrested. His history of criminal conduct makes him subject to removal from the United States,” said HSI Washington, D.C. Special Agent in Charge Eric Weindorf. “The special agents of HSI Washington, D.C. remain dedicated to the protection of our neighborhoods and the safety of Virginia residents.”…
