Missing Jacksonville man rescued alive after being stuck in mud for several days: PCSO

MELROSE, Fla. — A missing Jacksonville man has been rescued after being stuck in mud for several days, a Putnam County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said Wednesday night.

36-year-old Andrew Giddens was found alive at Vulcan Materials, a sand plant east of Melrose, where he had been stranded without food or water. The area also experienced freezing temperatures for several hours during the days he was stuck.
