LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) – A town-owned lot at the intersection of Church and Corley streets will be converted into a 99-space parking facility as part of a $1 million construction project, according to Lexington’s transportation director.
The town has owned the lot for decades without a designated purpose. Construction is expected to begin in August and take approximately six months to complete.
The project is tied in part to the construction of a Courtyard by Marriott on Main Street, located near the future lot. According to Transportation Director Randy Edwards, 35% of the spaces will be reserved for hotel overflow parking.
