Driver gets decades in prison for Black Friday crash that killed Portage woman

KALAMAZOO, MI — A woman who was driving 97 miles per hour during a fatal crash was sentenced to decades in prison.

Nyra Antinique Whitelow was sentenced on Monday, Feb. 23, to 20 to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder and 2 to 5 years for reckless driving causing serious impairment, court records state.
