Two accused of Hickory Hill car theft appear in court

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The two accused of taking a vehicle left running at a fast food restaurant Monday night, with several kids still in the car, appeared in court on Wednesday.

The duo went before Judicial Commissioner Serena Gray, who was filling in for Judge Karen Massey.

After being arraigned, Alexis Kearney and Antonio Alexander were appointed attorneys after telling the court they could not afford to hire their own counsel.
