Gov. Ivey appoints new judges and DA in Alabama

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Governor Kay Ivey announced Friday that she made 31 appointments to fill vacancies across the state.

Ivey highlighted three appointees in her press release Friday.

Robert “Bryan” Jones and James Lewis “Luke” Farmer were appointed as circuit judges and Angela King Hamilton was appointed as district attorney for the 11th judicial circuit in Lauderdale County.

Jones was appointed to the Fourth Judicial Circuit. He will succeed Circuit Judge Collins Pettway Jr., who retired in February after serving for 13 years. Jones is a graduate of Auburn University and Birmingham School of Law…
