(KRON) — Traffic was temporarily shut down on I-880 in Oakland due to a woman walking along the center divider brandishing a knife. That’s according to the California Highway Patrol which told KRON4 it responded to multiple calls regarding a woman walking on the northbound lanes of the freeway near 7th Street.

All lanes on the freeway were temporarily blocked. The woman brandished the knife at responding CHP officers.
Officers were eventually able to successfully negotiate with the woman who put the knife back in her pocket and was taken away for medical evaluation. The CHP said the scene was cleared at around 2:40 p.m.
By 3:10 p.m., all lanes were cleared and the roadway was open. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident…
