An abandoned home in The Villages was the subject of a public hearing this week at the District Office at Brownwood.
The home is located at 17245 SE Willowick Circle in the Village of Briar Meadow.
A complaint was received in December by Community Standards regarding overgrown grass and weeds. Neighbors told a representative of Community Standards that the house was abandoned. The neighbors had been trying to keep the property mowed to keep up appearances. They finally gave up.
The property is owned by James Grohowski. Public records indicate he would be 81 years old. Community Standards has been unable to contact him. Community Standards was able to obtain information about his granddaughter, but attempts to reach her by phone or email have been unsuccessful…
