ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – U.S. hospitals are facing more measles cases. According to a KFF health report, health care workers are facing an unusual barrier. Many don’t know what it looks like right away, leading to more infections. A morbilliform rash is a measles-like rash, but other viruses can cause this same exact rash. Experts say measles can also look like a common cold at first. They say look for the three “C’s”, cough, cold symptoms and pink eye.
The numbers of parents getting their newborns vaccinated for Hepatitis B is plummeting. A study published in JAMA found vaccination rates were 83% in 2023. Two years later, rates fell to 73%.
