Deadly crash closes lanes on southbound I-5 near San Diego-Orange County line

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Several lanes of the southbound I-5 were closed on Wednesday due to a deadly crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Oceanside posted on social media around 6:53 p.m. that the inside three lanes of the highway near the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant were closed due to a deadly accident. The slow lane remained open, and CHP said ongoing delays are expected.
