Convenience store chain plans another Brunswick location

A 24-hour convenience store chain is looking to open another store in Brunswick County.

Plans to build along U.S. 74/76 have been submitted for what could become Brunswick’s fourth 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station. If approved and constructed, the location will accompany the only currently operating 7-Eleven in the county and serve as northern Brunswick’s second location.

As of Feb. 24, the proposal is under review by the county planning department. The submission follows shortly behind county staff’s approval of plans for a 7-Eleven at 2128 Timber Oak Lane SE, Bolivia, near the Sunset Harbor community.

What are the plans for 7-Eleven?

Submitted plans show a 4,816-square-foot 7-Eleven convenience store at 2075 Andrew Jackson Highway, near the Interstate 140 overpass and Navassa town limits. Proposed plans feature two main accesses off Michigan Street NE, roughly 30 parking spaces and a fuel station with 16 gas pumps…
