Gaithersburg Home Organizer Arrested for Alleged Theft from Bethesda Client

Gaithersburg, MD (JK) – A Gaithersburg man hired as a professional home organizer has been arrested after Montgomery County Police say he stole thousands of dollars’ worth of property from a client’s home in Bethesda.

Investigators identified the suspect as 27-year-old Aissa Mahdi Ould Brahim, of Gaithersburg. According to police, the alleged theft occurred around 3 p.m. on January 22 at a home in the 5000 block of Del Ray Avenue in Bethesda, where Brahim had been hired to provide organizing services, including folding and putting away clothing.

Police say the homeowner briefly left the residence to pick up her child. When she returned, Brahim left shortly afterward. The victim later discovered a gold necklace missing and filed a police report. During the investigation, officers determined that the necklace had been sold through Facebook Marketplace. After learning it had been stolen, the buyer returned the necklace to the victim…
