First Alert Forward: Developer bets $350 million that St. Louis’ largest vacant building can anchor a downtown revival

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Goldman Group Managing Partner Charles Goldman walked First Alert Forward’s David Amelotti and Nathan Vickers through one of Missouri’s tallest buildings — a tower that has sat largely vacant for nearly a decade — and outlined a $350 million plan to transform it into a downtown neighborhood.

Goldman, managing partner of Boston-based Goldman Group, purchased the 44-story, 588-foot former AT&T Tower in April 2024 for about $3.5 million. The building, at 1.4 million square feet, is the largest building in Missouri by area and one of the five tallest in the state.
