SHERWOOD, Ark. – The City of Sherwood has entered into a new agreement with the Arkansas Municipal League aimed at expanding confidential mental health services for public safety employees.
Through the Municipal League’s Trauma Assistance Program, the city is now offering counseling sessions for police officers, firefighters, probation officers, surveillance officers and adult or juvenile detention officers.
Under the agreement, eligible full-time employees can receive up to twelve one-hour counseling sessions per calendar year with a licensed mental health professional.
