Workforce housing project planned for Boise highlands

Two local Boise nonprofits are working to bring more workforce housing to the base of the foothills.

According to a news release, land for a new project called Juniper Springs Apartments was donated to The Housing Company by Eyes on Health, formerly known as Healthwise. The Housing Company is a local nonprofit focused on both building and managing affordable housing for those in need. The nonprofit has built over 1,300 homes across 25 apartment complexes across the state.

Permits filed with the City of Boise show that a multifamily housing complex is planned for the space, located at 2600 N. Harrison Hollow Ln. The land is currently part of a parking lot for Eyes on Health’s main building and sits next to the parking area for the Harrison Hollow Trailhead…
