Seattle rideshare drivers protest ‘flooded’ market, demand Uber and Lyft stop adding new drivers

SEATTLE — Dozens of rideshare drivers took to the streets of downtown Seattle Wednesday evening, demanding Uber and Lyft stop signing up new drivers in what they call an already saturated market where supply far outpaces rider demand.

Members of Washington’s Drivers Union gathered outside Uber’s engineering offices at 2nd Avenue and Seneca Street during rush hour, chanting and holding megaphones to make their voices heard.

“We’re here to say, stop Uber flooding our streets, stop Lyft flooding our streets with too many vehicles,” a protest organizer called out through a megaphone…
