BETHLEHEM — Because the question “What about gift cards?” always comes up when a business closes, here’s an instance with a happier result than usual: FoCo TaCo in Delmar will close at some point this week, Saturday at the latest. (That’s not the happy part.) The date depends on when inventory is gone. To facilitate the process, FoCo is selling all tacos, normally $4.49 to $5.99 apiece, for $3.
In a rare move, the owners say they have made arrangements with the owners of the restaurant taking over the space, at 374 Delaware Ave., to accept FoCo gift cards and rewards points — even though the new venture has no connection to FoCo, and the concept will be different. That’s according to an online announcement and Dave Cavallo, who co-owns FoCo with partners Rich Wander, a developer, and Julie Swift.
After three and a half years in business, “We felt (FoCo) had run its course,” Cavallo said Thursday. When the new owners approached the trio with an offer to take over the space, they decided to close FoCo, he said…
