Katt Williams Launches AI Scholarship Fund with Miles College

*Katt Williams is channeling his influence into education, announcing a partnership with Miles College, a historically Black institution in Fairfield, Alabama, to establish a scholarship fund centered on artificial intelligence and augmented reality.

According to WVTM 13, the collaboration aims to position students at the forefront of a technology-driven shift currently transforming how films and media are made. The initiative is connected to Williams’s broader ambition of converting Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama, into a fully operational production campus through his company, Kemet Movie Works. The facility already features two advanced sound stages engineered for virtual production.

Williams has been clear about his intention to redirect industry spending toward his own community. “We had to go to another foreign country and give them millions of dollars,” he said. “Instead of that, we have the ability to create all of that using qualified people of color.”

Miles College, founded in 1898 and currently enrolling approximately 1,500 students, is affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and is part of the United Negro College Fund network. The partnership creates a direct pathway for students into the technical side of modern filmmaking…
