BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A Boca Raton woman has been sentenced to serve just over a year and a half in jail after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter and neglect of her one-month-old child.
Delaila Pino Lasalle, 26, was sentenced to 627 days in jail, receiving credit for the time already served, and will face five years of probation with conditions upon her release.
As part of her probation, Lasalle is mandated to undergo a mental health evaluation and complete any recommended treatments. She is prohibited from contacting her biological children unless under the supervision of their adoptive mother and must report any future pregnancies to authorities immediately. Additionally, should she become pregnant again during her probation, she is also required to develop a comprehensive safety and care plan for her newborn.
