Asheville police officer resigns after DWI arrest

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville Police Department announced that an officer has tendered his resignation following an internal investigation into his recent arrest.

The department said that Beau Baley had been placed on administrative suspension while it conducted the internal investigation following his arrest in Buncombe County on Feb. 7.

Baley was charged with the following:

  • Driving While Impaired
  • Misdemeanor Child Abuse
  • Public Urination
  • Resisting Public Officer
  • Reckless Driving
