BEREA, Ohio – A scammer, pretending to be a Spectrum representative, tried but failed to steal $640 from a Woodmere Drive resident.
The scammer called the resident at about 4 p.m. Feb. 20. He said that a promotional cable-TV plan in which she was enrolled was expiring.
