COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus City Schools student was seriously injured after a shooting in the parking lot of Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Martin Luther King Branch on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Columbus Division of Police Sgt. Joe Albert told 10TV officers were called just after 5 p.m. on a report of a person shot outside the library, located on East Long Street. He said the individual was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police said he was later upgraded to “stable” condition and is expected to survive.
