Macomb County man sentenced for abusing ex-girlfriend’s baby while she was at work

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Macomb County man has been sentenced after being convicted of severely abusing his ex-girlfriend’s 8-month-old boy.

Vincent Zappa, 26, of Warren, was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 26, to 216-360 months (18-30 years) in the Michigan Department of Corrections on one count of first-degree child abuse, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.

In addition to his prison term, Zappa is prohibited from having any contact with the victim or the victim’s family. He is also required to register under Wyatt’s Law, a database that tracks people convicted of crimes against children…
