EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Haitian Center of Evansville announced the return of its “Taste of Haiti” cultural festival, scheduled for May 16, 2026, at the C.K. Newsome Community Center.
The event aims to celebrate Haitian heritage through authentic cuisine, cultural performances, and music. Organizers describe the festival as a way to “Celebrate Culture and Celebrate Belonging” within the growing Southwest Indiana community.
The Haitian Center of Evansville, located at 501 John St., was established in April 2023 to support the local Haitian population, which has grown to an estimated 10,000 residents over the last decade.
