(Grand Rapids, MI) – Grand Rapids is preparing for parking congestion ahead of Acrisure Amphitheater’s opening. The city is discussing how to handle the influx of visitors that are expected to attend events at the new venue, which opens in May. It will bring 12-thousand-seats to downtown, causing the city to outline several protocols to manage the increase in foot and vehicle traffic, including lane and ramp closures, creation of an “access guide” to direct visitors to alternative parking options and between 20-to-30-officers for traffic control.
