Lancaster police arrest student with gun at school

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Police arrested a 15-year-old J.P. McCaskey student after officers found a handgun in his jacket, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police said.

The student left the school’s campus around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday after staff asked to search his belongings, police said. Officers found him shortly after at a McDonald’s on North Franklin Street.
