White Station High student faces suspension after weapons found in backpack

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis-Shelby County Schools student faces a possible 180-day suspension after Memphis police said a BB gun and a knife were found in his backpack at White Station High School.

A security officer said he was stationed at the school’s front entrance checking students’ backpacks through an walk through metal detector when the student’s bag showed an imprint of unauthorized items on the screen.
