Where blizzard ranks among the biggest NJ storms

The record-breaking blizzard that rocked New Jersey on Feb. 22 and 23 was one of the largest snowstorms in state history.

The blizzard of February 2026 now holds the Bergen County record for most snowfall in one town: Lyndhurst had gotten 30.7 inches as of 7:36 p.m. on Feb. 23, according to data from the National Weather Service. Carlstadt also surpassed 30 inches from the snowstorm, with a total accumulation of 30.2 inches.
