YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — York County Fire and Life Safety crews extinguished a garage fire at a home in the Grafton area of York County on Wednesday morning. Crews were dispatched at around 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Hollywood Boulevard, according to officials.
Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and conducted an interior attack, which successfully contained the fire to the attached garage. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes of the initial call.
The smoke entered the home, and there was no fire in the living areas. The home was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The homeowner informed officials that the family’s dog and cat were still inside the home. Both pets were located, assessed, and appeared to be uninjured following the incident…
