CITRA, Fla. — Marion County has extended its county-wide mandatory burn ban until at least March 3 as dry weather conditions continue to persist.
County officials said the extension is due to insufficient rainfall, dry vegetation, and the weather, which have all put the county at fire risk. The ban prohibits residents from all outdoor burning, including yard waste.
