Syracuse South Side Stabbing Victim Upgraded to Stable

Syracuse police are still investigating a stabbing on the city’s south side that left a 49-year-old man seriously injured — but now expected to survive.

According to Syracuse.com, officers were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday (February 24) to 411 W. Colvin St., where they found the man suffering from stab wounds to his abdomen and chest. An AMR ambulance rushed him to Upstate University Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition.

Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department (SPD), confirmed the victim has since been upgraded to stable and is expected to survive. As reported by CNY Central, police are still actively investigating the incident…
