The incident reportedly happened on a Monday in February inside Maximum Achievers, a facility known for helping children with special needs.
The video appears to capture an employee picking up his sneaker and striking a child on the backside. Just moments before, the same employee seems to throw a ball at the child and later tosses his shoe toward the child from close range. During the rest of the recording, the employee is seen tossing a ball back and forth with the child. The video was made public by CBS12 News and has raised concerns among parents and the local community.
The Lake Clarke Shores Police Department has confirmed they are actively investigating the reported abuse. So far, the name of the employee shown in the video has not been released.
