Future of dam near Ann Arbor could soon be decided

SALINE, MI – After three years of debate, a decision on the Saline River Dam’s future might finally be made within the next month.

City officials will hold a public meeting Monday, March 9 at 6 p.m. to address questions about the future of the Saline River Dam, weighing the costs and benefits of rehabilitation against removal. Mayor Brian Marl told MLive that the Saline City Council will discuss both options at its March 16 meeting and potentially decide on the dam’s future in late March or early April.
