State agency accuses Worcester County public employee of double-dipping

The Massachusetts Ethics Commission is accusing a public employee of working hundreds of hours for a state agency while he was also on the clock and collecting a paycheck as the Department of Public Works superintendent in the Town of Barre.

The agency said Jason Pimental violated the state’s conflict of interest law and could now be facing tens of thousands of dollars in penalties.
