Shell casing found at Bedford Senior High School days after ammunition found at other district school

TEMPERANCE, Mich. — An additional incident of ammunition being found within a Bedford Public Schools building has been reported, according to an email sent to parents and guardians from the district.

According to Bedford’s superintendent Carl Shultz, a student at Bedford Senior High School found an empty shell casing on a classroom floor Wednesday, marking the second incident where ammunition was found in a district school building in a week. According to Schultz, the student reported the empty casing to the teacher, who then turned it in to the front office.

Last week, three shotgun shells were found in the Bedford Junior High School, one of which was empty and the other two were unspent…
