Deposition Halts After Boebert Leaks Photo, Citing Clinton’s “Blue Suit”
A deposition involving former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was abruptly paused yesterday after Representative Lauren Boebert reportedly leaked a photo from inside the closed-door proceedings. The incident, which violated established rules for the meeting, led to a temporary halt in questioning as officials investigated the breach.
Clinton began her two-day deposition on Thursday afternoon, asserting she had no knowledge of the criminal activities of Jeffrey Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell. However, the process was interrupted when it became apparent that Boebert had shared an image from the private session with a prominent conservative influencer.
Leaving the deposition, Boebert expressed no regret for her actions. When asked by reporters why she shared the photo, she reportedly replied, “Why not?” She also quipped about admiring Clinton’s blue suit and wanting to share it, according to an Associated Press report.
The leaked image was posted by conservative influencer Benny Johnson to his X account, who wrote, “The first image of Hillary Clinton testifying under oath about Jeffrey Epstein to the Republican Oversight Committee.” Johnson added, “This is the first time Hillary has had to answer real questions about Epstein.
Clinton does not look happy. Photo provided by Rep.
Lauren Boebert.”
Nick Merrill, an advisor to Clinton, confirmed the violation to the press. “The hearing just went off the record for a moment because it seems, as some of you may have seen, there was a photograph shared on social media, which is against the rules read at the top of the meeting,” Merrill stated. “So the hearing is paused briefly while they figure out where the photo came from and why possibly members of Congress have violated that rule.”
Beyond denying any association with Epstein’s crimes, Clinton reportedly criticized the House Republicans and the committee’s handling of the Epstein investigation.
Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to undergo his own deposition today. Both Clintons had previously resisted testifying regarding their alleged connections to the convicted sex offender. They were subpoenaed by the Republican-led House Oversight Committee in August and agreed to comply to avoid potential contempt charges.
To date, there has been no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of either Bill or Hillary Clinton in connection with Epstein, whose extensive records have revealed his ties to numerous influential individuals worldwide.
