More than $400 million is now set aside for groundwater projects that span two counties and as many as three well fields.
The Corpus Christi City Council on Feb. 24 gave final approval to moving forward with funding for a brackish groundwater desalination plant, additional groundwater rights and nearly $200 million toward ongoing efforts in bringing the proposed Evangeline groundwater project to fruition.
