Iowa drivers will notice clouds thickening and temperatures hovering near 28 degrees this morning in Des Moines, with a band of snow poised to move in later today. Pavement remains mostly dry early, but that changes fast by late afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, a narrow band of snow will cross central Iowa through this evening. Parts of north-central into central Iowa could pick up 1 to 2 inches before midnight. Roads, especially along I-35 and I-80, may turn slick during the evening commute.
