Injured hiker airlifted to hospital after 150-foot fall on Franklin Mountains trail

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 21-year-old man was rescued Thursday after he was injured hiking the Franklin Mountains.

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the man fell from approximately 150 feet while hiking the Mammoth Rock Trail, fracturing a knee and becoming unable to walk.

As a result, first responders from both the El Paso Police and Fire Departments called in an air rescue…
