KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City leaders are weighing a proposal that would eliminate the requirement for new downtown buildings to include parking spaces, a move aimed at making the area more walkable and encouraging the use of public transportation.
A city council committee has put the plan on hold for now. The item is scheduled to return before the committee on March 3 for a presentation and vote. If approved, it would then go before the full city council.
