A normally quiet Menomonee Falls cul-de-sac turned into something out of a police drama early Thursday when heavily armed officers and armored vehicles rolled into the Hummingbird Way neighborhood for a search warrant operation.
Neighbors reported seeing tactical trucks, a large number of marked squad cars and officers surrounding a home, with nearby streets briefly disrupted while law enforcement worked the scene. The unusual show of force drew curious onlookers and plenty of questions about what, exactly, required that level of response.
According to TMJ4, the operation began early Thursday morning as officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the area. Photos from the scene, credited to Raycom Media, show armored vehicles parked near the home and officers clustered around the property.
