Colorado awards $13.3m transit housing grants

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs awarded more than $13.3 million in its first round of Transit Oriented Communities Infrastructure grants, state officials announced.

The funding, awarded in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office and the Colorado Department of Transportation, will support four communities and help advance up to 720 units of affordable housing. Three of the projects also include transit improvements tied to bus rapid transit and light rail.
