ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — With electricity prices rising across the Capital Region, local businesses are expressing their frustrations. Kurt Borchardt, co-owner of Artisanal Brew Works in Saratoga, took to Facebook to share his reaction of the rising electricity costs at his business.
“It’s going to be $6,750 for the month of January,” Borchardt said. ““When I saw that bill, I fell out of my chair.”

As a result of his recent bill, Borchardt changed his electric supplier to a wholesaler. The move allows him to share electric costs with other local businesses.
“I can’t handle a 100% increase,” Borchardt said. “Now, [electricity] is only second to my lease.”…
