In Albany, the mother of Deandre Morrison, a 28-year-old man who was shot and killed over two and a half years ago, is pleading for answers as police renew their call for information. Morrison was gunned down on June 25, 2023, near Myrtle Avenue and Phillip Street. Officers responding to the scene found him with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center.
Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have been made. Albany Police recently took to social media to urge anyone with information to come forward. Lynnette Medina, Morrison’s mother, expressed her anguish in an interview, saying, “My kid is gone. All I have left is his pictures.” She vividly recalls the night she learned of her son’s death, describing it as a parent’s worst nightmare.
Medina revealed that Morrison had stepped outside after someone called for him, and that was when he was killed. She remains determined to keep her son’s memory alive and has repeatedly spoken with CBS6 to urge the public to help solve the case. “No one is coming forward.
