Grand jury indicts woman on 80 counts in case where girlfriend’s remains were found in 2007

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A Fulton County rand jury has returned an 80-count indictment against a woman arrested in connection with a 2007 murder where her girlfriend’s remains were found in a burning bag on a Troup County roadside, Troup County county authorities said.

Angel Marie Thompson was initially arrested in Aug. 2024 for concealing the death of Nicole Alston. Last year, Thompson was charged with her murder.

Authorities said Alston’s remains were found on Dec. 6, 2007, in Troup County inside a burning black bag dumped near Whitfield Road and Stitcher Road in Troup County. Her hands, feet, and head were missing…
